Making Palmer costume of course I needed Magnum pistols.
I bought 2 BoomCo blasters first, however then I was very lucky to acquire two 3D printed ones from the awesome kaween.
This is how it came to me. It isn't glued yet.
Originally I wanted to paint a default skin on the Magnum. HOWEVER then 343i released this piece of beauty! I love that it still has the military UNSC feel, but it's lighter! And those sexy red details!
I fell in love. Totally. I'm married to this skin and regret only that they are available for Magnum and AR only.
Without knowing where I'll attach the magnet (I wanted to magnetically attach these to thighs) I started sanding and smoothing these out.
(the front part is after just first sanding, the back after 2 sandings)
So, after I finally attached together I spray painted them.
I went with that beautiful skin, but I changed few details. I made the trigger red and I went with the classic light stripe at the front instead of the UNSC eagle logo - I thought it was too distracting in the game and the classic stripe looks a lot better.
And finished! All roughed up. Wear and tear and dirt through use.
As an extra, here is a video of me testing magnets.
