The build is looking fantastic!

I used some googly eyes for those buttons, but right now I just feel like my armor is staring at me.

Googly eyes are honestly the way to go with buttons but I hid mine and spray painted them first in my builds. Just don't jump around too much or you hear them googling sometimes :p

:lol i thought i was the only one who noticed, and this made me laugh out loud at work... seriously 4 people came over to see what was so damn funny!

For some reason I reason I love seeing Reach builds in foam. Just something about the chest piece that always looks amazing. May have to do that next after I finish my Mk.VII build.

Thank you! I love the Reach builds in foam as well, it's so satisfying for some reason!

Thank you! I have them on my fuel rod cannon and whenever I move it around you can totally hear them, it always cracks me up!

Started plasti dip and painting tonight!

This is 3 nice thick coats of plasti dip. I love the black, it always makes me want to rethink my paint scheme when I dip it in black.

And here we have one coat of pearl white acrylic paint. I'm using an airbrush and thinning it down with some water and slowly building up my layers.

And this is after the second coat.

I'll probably do about 2 or 3 more depending on how it looks. After paint it's on to weathering.

Nicely done. Clean smooth lines and detailing is excellent. Great job.

Googly eyes are always hilarious [emoji1303]

its even funnier when all the engineers here at work have defaced the cartoonish posters we have all over this place with googly eyes because they fit exactly the same size as the posters eyes...

Alright! Chest is done and I took it to Stan Lees LA Comic Con over the weekend so this post will have a lot of pictures!

This was after 4 coats of plasti dip

My first spray of the pearl white acrylic. I mixed pearl white and a regular white and did lots of light layers to build up opacity. I prefer airbrushing acrylics over spray painting, I find that the acrylics flex a lot more than spray paint and I prefer the overall look.

The con was a blast! There were so many people that it was a bit overwhelming at times, but I met a lot of awesome people and had a great time!

Aww [emoji5] thanks!

And I had no idea how to airbrush, just played around with it and got comfortable. I have the quick change airbrush kit from Harbor Freight and a pancake compressor for it. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I definitely suggest it if you are looking into painting options that aren't spray cans or hand painting.

As promised, I added the lights into the new chest. This was super easy as I just took the lights from the previous chest, made some holes and strapped the batteries in. I made little cut outs for the switches on either side and you can't really tell they are there unless you look for it.

I really like this Build. Not easy painting white armor ether, as it doest hide the seams very well and can high light mistakes, but well done, you have done a great job.

Thank you so much! Yeah white is definitely not very forgiving but I think I did alright! My next armor will be darker colors, but the white sure does stand out in a crowd.
