Hello need some opinions on a armor set

I've purchased 5 or 6 of the Disguise helmets now, and repainted all of them and sold or gave as gifts to friends. For the price, they are great, but overall, not overly amazing. The visor visibility is ok at best, and the biggest issue I've found is that the helmet is too "shallow". Meaning...

    Custom Gen-2 "NIGHTMARE" foam build

Re: Custom Mk.VII "NIGHTMARE" foam build Thank you! If you ever need any help with foam, I'm more than happy to lend a hand. It can be a bit of a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, its a piece of cake...

    Custom Gen-2 "NIGHTMARE" foam build

Re: Custom Mk.VII "NIGHTMARE" foam build Slow progress is still progress right? Been working on this 1 or 2 hours a night if I can. Taking longer, but its for the better. Knocked out the base of my second thigh piece last week, so I know have both done. Currently leaving these as is, and will...

Schankerz' First Halo Reach Foam Build

Not at all. I'm 6'4", and I'm even boosting my height a bit. I have 2 or 3 layers of eva foam on the bottom of my boots, which along with shoes, and a helmet, should put me around 6'10". I think it looks good too, when you add to the sole of your shoes/boots.

Notice: Rustoleum Paint Reformlulation - Crazing on plastic

I use that same primer all the time for touch up painting car parts (both metal and plastic), and have never had an issue. Did you try and buy another can from another store to see if it was just maybe that particular can? Who knows, it could just be a bad batch or something. But if you have...

    Reach Torso Build round 3!

Looks great! Totally forgot Comikaze was this weekend....not that my suit is ready, but just to go. Probably gonna just wait until WonderCon next year. For some reason I reason I love seeing Reach builds in foam. Just something about the chest piece that always looks amazing. May have to do...

    First Scratch Build/ Coating Issue

Like Phil said, foam is flexible. Really not much you can do about it. You could try sealing the foam, then hardening with some resin, but most resin does not interact well with foam, and even with a sealant of some sort, you risk it leaking through and possibly destroying a piece. Also, when...

    Printer size

It is worth noting, that even if a file has a certain paper size with it, you can change that. Now, it WILL change the orientation of the parts on the page, and require you to move them around to fit properly, but it can be done. I've downloaded many files that were A4 paper size, which I then...

I too have a beard, and I know exactly how you feel. I seem to trim mine with a 8mm attachment, then let it grow for 2-3 months before trimming again, so it gets a decent length. For the most part, a balaclava isn't TOO uncomfortable, although it is a bit warm (maybe cut the top off, so its not...

Trying to join the fb page

Join the main 405th page, there are no requirements for that. Each regional page is for members of the forum here who have signed up and belong to a regiment (thus why they would need proof of who you are on the forum here, so they can let you in). The regional pages are specifically for members...

[FOAM] [GUIDE] List of Options for Supplies, Tools, and Methods Used for Foam Builds

Re: [FOAM] [GUIDE] List of Options for Supplies, Tools, and Methods Used for Foam Bui Just figured I'd post this up here to show you guys. I started up working on my foam armor again. Anyways, I realized I had been using multi-temp glue instead of high-temp. Since I'm pretty much making all of...
