I had a good idea understanding the 3d model/Peprika/fiberglass model. But I am more curious as to the "Make it Yourself" How would one even start?

How would an experianced prop builder make the mask/helm for this guy. http://marvel.com/wallpaper/papers/SECAVN007_tron_1024.jpg Im curious because as to a close, form fiting face/helm where would you start, how would you make it comfy to wear... ect ect.

Buddy of mine used to come by here alot when he started papercrafting helmets. I have my own personal projects Id like to try and Id figure id look around here before I start. There is quite some talented prop makers here and I figure a cool place to check out. Im another electronic musician...
