    Tk1055's pep files.

Say, I get "file not found" on the Raptor / Rex links. Do you have updated locations for these? Thanks! -= Dave =-

"Help!" for: Fiberglassing, Resin, & Bondo

Say, I was wondering how you experienced people handle the sanding of the exterior of your resined-on-the-outside, fibered-on-the-inside peps? Specifically, I'm wondering how many times you sand it and just "how low do you go" with your final grit #? (It's crunch-time now for Halloween. I'm...

    War Machine Armor

Just shoved this out there for ya.: http://www.davidraasch.com/gatling_gun.pdo That's the one I used last year. I really, really like how it looks. Good luck!

"Help!" for: Fiberglassing, Resin, & Bondo

I did my first fiberglassing work near the end of my Halloween War Machine build last year. But I used it on pieces that had broad, flat areas and not a lot of nook and crannies. So, now I'm starting to pep some Iron Man Mk VI files and I'm seeing..... a lot of nooks and crannies. I guess...

Which helmet file for Iron Man Mk VI ??

OK, about two weeks ago, I downloaded a zip file (as directed by a link I found somewhere on these forums)... of Iron Man Mk's 4-6 pep files. The dates of the files in the .zip are all from about one year ago. End of May / beginning of June 2010. Most of the files have "robo3687" in their...

IRON MAN - Mark lll - Armor Costume Build

So you're bondo-ing the Exterior? What about the Interior? Any resin mixed with that Bondo? Just curious. Debating what I want to build for my next Halloween costume. Did War Machine last year (Rondo'd some parts, Fiberglassed others...but all on the Interior).

Tutorial: How to use Pepakura to make your Mjolnir Armor

That printer is new enough that it certainly should be able to handle that. Other than maybe swapping-out the cable, I'm out of ideas.

Tutorial: How to use Pepakura to make your Mjolnir Armor

Well, that certainly sounds like the problem is something with that specific file... like maybe there's something in it that the printer driver doesn't like. Perhaps you could try adjusting (in Pepakura designer) your Print and Paper Options. If you've got "bitmap" selected, try switching to...

Tutorial: How to use Pepakura to make your Mjolnir Armor

It will only print one PAGE...and then stop? I assume that's what you mean? And the printer itself isn't displaying any errors? Can you try printing it... to a file? (Windows' print options usually offer that option.) I'm assuming the item disappears from the Windows print queue for the...

"Help!" for: Armor Mounting / Costume Assembling

Heh-heh.... sorry, can't answer that one. With Robocop and War Machine, it wasn't really an issue. ;)

FINALLY - Movie Accurate WAR MACHINE and IRON MAN Helmets

I did something very similar. But instead of three holes, I cut most of the entire underside of the mohawk away completely. I used that "hollow area" to hold some foam padding (later, after rondoing it), so that the helmet would be more comfortable.

"Help!" for: Armor Mounting / Costume Assembling

Ah, I wish I had some photos of what I'm about to describe to you. Here's what I ended up doing for my War Machine build. I did something a little bit like this for my Robocop, so I'm learning more with each build: 1) I started with a strong leather belt to go around my waist. 2) I...

"Help!" for: Fiberglassing, Resin, & Bondo

War Machine has a piece that sounds very similar on the top of his shoulder bells. I just resined them on the outside. Did nothing at all to the inside. My theory was that they probably wouldn't be bumping into other objects or even get touched by myself or others very much. That worked out...

"Help!" for: Fiberglassing, Resin, & Bondo

They don't have "body filler" for vehicles? I'm pretty sure Bondo is a brand name. But "body filler" is what it's called. Have you checked auto supply shops or the auto section of whatever-discount-stores-they-have-in-Australia?
