[FINISHED!!!]] Halo Reach Armor (Foam and Fiberglasbuild)

It's a short ammount of time but I have a head start as I've already got a helmet peped and resined. I should be able to spend around 7-8 hours a day on it so hopefully the build will go quite quickly. Can you remember the scale you used? I'm about 175cm tall so your scale would be a good...

[FINISHED!!!]] Halo Reach Armor (Foam and Fiberglasbuild)

Wow this build looks awesome. You've inspired me to get started on a foam build, My only problem is I've given myself a 24 day deadline for it and I'm short on funds :eek I've downloaded the templates in your first post to get me started. Are they to scale or will they need adjusting? Any...

    green stuff

To answer your question about sanding it, yes you can. I made a fairly large part of a custom airsoft gun from green stuff/ epoxy putty and it sanded just fine. As for using it for armour I'd not bother. Fibreglass is strong, it's just the resin on it's own which is brittle and can break. Bondo...

start making your suit under £40

I picked up one of those Fast Glass kits a while back from my local halfords and it only has a 250ml (8.4 fl/oz) can of resin and the measuring cup is tiny. I've found 1kg cans with hardener for around £10 on ebay which look to be a better buy. From memory the mating in the kit is quite small...

    New Cheap Helmet Padding

I saw these pads on another airsoft retailer which are very similar http://www.rsov.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=13069 They do cost $1 more than the OE Tech ones but they do ship internationally for people based outside of the US. I checked the shipping price to the UK and it was...

    Armor Strength

I had a similar idea to use a helmet for CQB with a mesh lens seeing as here in the UK it's a much lower FPS. The thing that put an end to that idea was when I actually put the helmet on and realised there was a massive gap under my chin. As for the armour holding up. Over here there's a guy...

Another Noble Team noobie in need of advice

Good point, I'd not though of that. I was going by how small the neck opening was and how I can see it being very uncomfortable if I leave it how it is. But I suppose I could replace the inner collar with foam when it's done.

Another Noble Team noobie in need of advice

Thanks for the advice. I've hot glued some supports in to hold the dents out and I'll hopefully resin it tomorrow, well as long as the weather holds. I've got another question for the more experienced or just people with an eye for this sort of thing. does my chest piece look the right size? I...

Another Noble Team noobie in need of advice

It just springs back into the deformed shape and I don't really want to be holding it in shape when if I put any resin on it.

Another Noble Team noobie in need of advice

After playing Reach (my first halo experience too) I've become a little obsessed and decided to make some armour. My plan is to make the standard Noble Six armour to start with and then as and when I get time make add ons like the UA hemet upgrade or various shoulder upgrades (most likely the...

how do you make prop bullets

I've found these in the UK with a good selection of bullets. http://www.airsoftworld.net/deactivated-weapons-inert-goods/inert-ammunition I'd just buy one then make moulds of them.
