how does hot glue not give you enough time to adjust your pieces?

can you maybe show a photo from the top of your chest armor? i need some reference as to where to cut the neck hole.

precutting flaps usually does it for me. folding without an exacto knife seems to be unnecessarily hard, considering, precut folds are much cleaner

i prefer hot glue as well, it hardens fast, can be modified if needed and i love to burn my fingers (no i dont, but hot glue is freakishly hot ...) i wouldnt mind about those small irregularities, if its nothing to big you can and will correct it in bondo work (probably) i dont see anything...

ok update: biggest part, namely the chest is finished, more or less, its only missing the back parts that are extra but meh. it looks a little bit warped on the pic but really isnt, its just sitting on a chair and, well, its sitting on a chair :D also put the helmet on for size...

this seems to be happening sometimes with very small flaps for me. usually, u can cut away part of the flaps, because u never need the whole flap anyway. allways cut the solid lines, never the folding lines. because if you cut away something that should be visible, you will have a hole there...

i recommend a grey primer, then a few layers of silver spray paint, after that gold spray paint on the mask and selected areas, and red on the rest. also a clear glossy coat over the red parts, but not over the gold parts as it will make it look plasticy on the gold parts.

helmet nr 3: 1.1 scale im not sure, but it seems a little bit too big. what do you think? /edit: look at the difference between 1.02 and 1.1 and compare it to the previous compare pics:

der moosgummi mit dem man als kind bastelt ist ein bissl was anderes, bzw wird das fälschlicherweise als moosgummi bezeichnet. diese matten sind ja auch min 2 cm dick :)

short update: i restarted on the helmet, as it was way to small. first one was scaled with 0.9000something second one was scaled with 1.02000something and its still too small :( i can get it on, but barely. and im pushing out the sides and the top when wearing it. considering that...

es handelt sich dabei um EVA Schaum (die abkürzung wirst du sicher schon gesehn habn in den threads :) ) EVA= Ethylen Vinyl Acetat ist Moosgummi. Hier gibts die zum bleistift relativ günstig, in jeder farbe die du willst :)...

man i could make a business out of that :D probably could do the halo helmet in like 2 hours, looks like a size tester.. also no detail work, it seems like its just resined and colored. i dont even know what i would do with that thing :) well thats just my personal oppinion, but i dont think...
