Update time! Helmet is finished! I wont bore you with lengthy descriptions or steps taken since I used the same techniques that others have used to achieve the weathered look with the paint. So without further ado...
Heres the helmet with the LED's lit up.
Here are the side...
I think your completion date is totally feasible. Foam is an awesome medium to work with and generally takes less time than the pep method. What you give up in detail you make up for with mobility, comfort and time.
I know people hate posts with no pics, but I just had to update my thread with some info on why its taking me so long to complete the helmet. I've been trying to get the electronics right and its been giving me fits. I blew out one LED and then purchased a defective one to replace it. We only...
Plastidip wont actually cover the pattern. It might dull the pattern a little but it will still be quite visible after several layers of plastidip. Is the foam patterned like that on both sides?
Last update! Well...the last update before I show off the completed helmet. Hehe. I figured out a way to solve the gap issues with the visor that didnt involve more bondo and a few more hours of sanding.

Update time. I finished the padding for the helmet.
I cut out paper shapes to test fit the foam pad placement and then transferred the paper shapes onto 1" foam.
After I got all the foam shapes cut out and shaped up I test fitted them in the helmet.
Next step was to...
Thank you for looking! I have several more pics at the end of this post.
I appreciate it! I hope to have a nice looking helmet when it's all done.
Well here we go! Pic heavy update ahead!
I completed the hand plates.
And per the recent requests...
And even...
Ive been scouring the forums looking for an answer to this question and so far no luck. If I missed it and if this is the wrong place to post this question then I apologize in advance. I need to get my hands on a visor for my JFO Helmet as part of my Reach armor build. I've located about a...
