    Reach Build

Hi Privateer, Great work as usual! I too am building some foam armor but I'm having some trouble when working with pep files. Aside from eliminating the small pieces and cutting the foam at an angle, any suggestions? BTW I've had great success priming the foam with a coat of contact...

Using Garage Door Seal Material Instead Of Plungers For Boots

I not only like the look but think it will conform to the boot shape better. The plunger I bought kinks badly if you try and stretch the diameter at all. I'll try your method next time. Great find!

    Rogue Helm

Hello everyone. It's time for me to chime in. @Doom...Paint looks great. Love the color scheme and the weathering. Keep it up! @ASM....I just have to strengthen the lower edges and your cast is ready to ship. @Ben and Ithica...Thanks for your support and comments. My casts are coming out...

Dutch A How To Mold Series

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I've been trying to make a mother mold for my Rogue helmet and have had multiple issues. Also my 2nd try was all plaster and weighed about 50 lbs. I'll use some of your ideas next time! Juggernaut

    Me As A Stalker.

If that's going to be an inhale hose and an exhale hose (and the mask sealed to your face) you'll build up alot of CO2 in a short time. That hose is long enough that you'll be breathing the same breath over and over. Essentially it will be like putting a plastic bag over your head. You will need...

    Bondo Usage Question?

It also depends on what you are considering a "batch." Personally I like to use smaller amounts and apply more often. It helps to preserve detail and minimize waste. Use as many coats as needed to get the look you want.

Fhow Do I Get From Fiberglass To Bond?

If the resin has not been cured for a long time you really don't have to do anything to get the bondo to stick, but I agree that a coat of primer will bring out the imperfections......and there will be alot! Little drips, sags and brush strokes are normal. I prime and then lightly sand the...

    Cqb Helment

Looks great so far. I'm working on a CQB now too. Not quite as far along as you. I don't hold out much hope for window tint on this though. It's a compound curve and tints don't like that. I tried tinting a visor I made from plexiglass for my rogue helm. It's nowhere near as compound a curve as...

    Super Glue Gel?

I have used gel with good results. It is very expensive in comparison. A bottle of tacky glue will outlast super glue tubes by tenfold!! tacky glue is what I use now.

    Juggernaut's Rogue Wip

Thanks everyone for all the compliments. I do hope to mold it soon. As for the visor, I'll probably end up getting an HJC (I think Privateer said they have a small one that works for around $12), but first I want to experiment. I have some eighth inch plexi that I want to heat and form, then...

    Juggernaut's Rogue Wip

Ok a bit of a necro but only a few weeks. Here's some more detail and damage on the helmet. Hope to find a visor soon too. Already have the LEDs but not yet installed. I might mold and cast this. Any interest.....PM me.

Video Tutorial: Using Casting Resin For Your Pep Build

I'm sorry too....after awhile I stopped checking this thread. I probably have 1/8" thickness now and should add more. I remember others saying that if you wait too long to pour more that they won't stick together. I'm going to try and rough it up and do another pour. Looks like this will be an...
