Ok, so after a few weeks of not doing anything I got back to work tonight. I did have to trash the first back because it was to small so I built another one. Not as clean as I would have liked but I think it turned out ok. It's 1:46am here in Texas so we will have to wait to see what it looks...

Well, the last one I scaled at 210mm and now I bumped it up to 275mm so time will tell. I'll probably have it finished by morning and hopefull not frustrated. I finished the one above about 2:30am this morning. I probably have about 5 hours in the first one. Second one should go a little faster...

Here is the helmet I started on a few years ago, shot a quick paint job on it to get me excited again.

.....o yeah, I forgot to mention, i'll still probably find some different foam because as you can see, the upside has a lot of embossed designs so it makes it a little difficult to glue and get good edges. O yeah, someone will have to tell me how to hide the glue lines later before final paint...

Drack, thanks for the info, the scaling tut worked well. Ok, I got started on the build tonight and I'll have to tell you I love working with the foam. Like others have stated you will definitly burn through some blades. Being as this is such a small build I had to find some 1/4" foam to work...

Howdy all, been a member here for a while and started on an iron man helmet maybe 2 years ago and still have not gotten around to finishing it due to unemployment, kids, wife and everything else everyone else deals with. So, I got back online here a week or so ago and found the new foam armor...

Guys, with Ben's videos I think this is a great start, although there is much more we can learn. I think we should all now get together and start our own prop making franchise and movie business. There is enough guys on here that can do the special effects that we should all do a movie together...
