Generally, the easier the pep, the fewer folds and andgles, therefore the lower the definition, therefore the more you will have to bondo to get it smoothed out. Just my 2 cents.

Whether you seal the foam with plastidip or modgepodge, you should be able to spray it with a light coat of mold release or spray petroleum and it should release from the mold silicone just fine, (at least in theory).
