    Which Smooth-On Product To Use?

Thats incredible. I am definitely going to try this on an ODST helmet. Thanks for the help. What do you use for gluing your peps? In other words, will the smooth-on dissolve normal white glue and super glue?

Video Tutorial: Using Casting Resin For Your Pep Build

I believe that the Smooth-on 300 is a type of easily applied liquid-to-solid plastic, similar to resin in it s reinforcing effects. It allows you to simply pour the mixture into the helmet and make a mold("copy") by simply swishing the mixture around inside the helmet until it becomes solid...

    Which Smooth-On Product To Use?

That helmet is very pretty. Did you cut out the faceplate after you used the smooth-on. Has the paper been sanded away, or is that helmet already bondoed and sanded?

    Which Smooth-On Product To Use?

So it can be used as normal resin? For example, I could use this stuff on both the inside and outside of a piece to strengthen it? how does paper react to it?

    Sliced Weapon Detailing

Hello all, I am building Bevbors sliced BR55, and I have all the slices cut. I am using approximately 4mm thick foamboard (a little less than 1/4 in.). I am in need of assistance on methods of smoothing the stepped edges; Im sorry for the lack of pictures, but I dont have a camera. Should I...

Fallout Armor Pep Files + References

That armor is done by a studio in Cali i think. I was told by a third party that the studio had recieved a cease and desist letter from Betheseda, even though I asked for a price quote and recieved an answer (quite a heavy answer). In any case the armor is beautiful, but the helmet... not so...

    Aqua Resin, Non-toxic Resin

I saw that some people were experimenting with muslin cloth. I am looking for an alternative to fiber glass, and muslin sounds like it might be worthwhile to look into. IS the type used for resin reinforcement the same type you can buy at JoAnns fabric store? Or is it a special kind?

    T-51B Wip

And here is the built paper helmet. It doesnt look too great but it is a good start: I am probably going to use Frosts hot glue method to strengthen it. Here it is:[attachment=13550:helmet3.jpg] [attachment=13549:helmet2.jpg]

    T-51B Wip

Hey all, Finally finished the tedious cutting and penning. I am finally assembling my helmet. It is made from normal printer paper, but the final project will be made from 110 Cardstock. Also it is a little bit small (probably a lot small). Can anybody help me with the minutiae of the Pepakura...
