You can actually fiberglass the outside with a VERY thin coat and before you fiberglass the inside. The thin layer helpes the Bondo sscrape on better.

ok thanks! Do you mix the bondo with resin then cream hardener or mix bondo with hardened resin then the cream.

thats exactly what i did except i used double sided tape. and didnt have a brush so i tilted the helemt around. If you look at the H-1 pep file the overhang on the top curves back into the helmet for the triangular look. I couldnt get resin in there any suggestions?

Be careful on a famas though the railing may either be too square or too high sometimes.
