If someone just wanted to make a couple plasma grenades for display, or didn't care about lighting, they could take a lacrosse ball (buy them at a sports store for less than $2 apiece usually) maybe put an extra layer of something over them to make the paint stick better, paint them and enjoy...

Ya. I've been thinking and a wall mounted design would work better for this, instead of a desktop version. I have some drawings of my design, but I am unsure of how to post them on the site. How would I acomplish this?

good point. I will have to draw up my idea and post it for further inspection. Still I think it would be cool if someone did create a model of it though.

Has anyone thought of createing a model of a Halo world? :please: You could put a layer of magnets around the inside and outside edges then do the same for a stand so it would be floating in the middle. You could even give it a little spin to have it rotate. :drool:

I am brand new to this site, and since I have no expierence with making anything like a full on Spartan outfit, I thought I would start simple with a marine combat uniform. Any suggestions on how to proceed with this project and cost estimates? Reference pictures would be a great help too. ;-)
