Gunhead for the pattern, and then sent it to one of their recommended companies to finish it. I'll probably be added foam/latex to bring out some of the details, but it looks good to me so far!

I did see a youtube video in my research that said putting it in a bucket of hot water for 10 minutes helps with the flow....just an FYI

So, I did some deep dive thread reading on EVA foam finishing work, filling gaps and painting. It seems there are a lot of schools of thought on how to proceed, which for a noob is a bit bewildering. So, three questions, as I race to finish my armor before Megacon: 1. Gap filling for spaces...

Definitely not looking at motorcycle armor any more, which is why I thought the heatgear might work nicely as a base. It's supposed to be designed for sports in warm/hot conditions, wicking moisture and all that. Love the undersuit in the pictures, that's amazing stuff. Thanks for the info...

Good points. I cosplay frequently as Captain America from AoU in a cordura/pleather suit with resin helmet, and that gets damned hot. Gatorade is my friend, for sure!
