Hello there, I got a quick noob question if you don't mind. On the HD Flying Squirrel chest piece it's broken up into two different pieces. When I harden it, am I suppose to harden them as one or do I attach it as part of the mounting later?
This is really the best place I can think of to ask this question. I'm trying to figure out where to put the fan in my helmet where the vents are not all that visible, but when I look at the WIP's I see fans but no vents on the outside. Are they just put in to move the air around and keep it...
I would love to bondo it but the space I have to work in is a 4 foot by 4 foot corner of my room so no toxic chemicals for me! I'm using the hot glue method right now and must say it's turning out better then I thought it would.
So it's been what.... 4 months since I posted anything on here? It's been slow going since school started right as I started then thread and then around the same time I got a job that seemed to take up the rest of the time I had budgeted to working on this but I'm back with two new pieces done...
That's good advice! It's expensive to do a whole suit but it's not bot to do one piece at a time. It's not that hard on the pocket book of you spread out the price over the course of a few months...It takes forever but it makes it eayser!
My advice is to read the stickies. Then when your done with that to read them again! I take the same approach to this like I do school. Asking people for advice helps but the stickies are your text books and will teach you all you really need to know. I got like 4 booked marked for quick...
Much better! There's defiantly progress there but as kinggoobero said it's probably better to get some more practice in before the chest piece. On my mark VI i started on the smallest pieces I could find so if I made a mistake (like making them the wrong size.... 3 different times....) I could...
My first thought, if you haven't already, would be to go to the creation section then into the pep area. You can't post there yet but they have twice the tuts then are available in the noob forum. They talk about scaling as well as the best way to fold the paper to make sure things line up...
Yea, this is all about patience. I choose to see my mess ups as a learning experience rather then a failure. I've lost track of the number of pieces I've remade but the next one always comes out better.
I can't believe it's been 10 years! I can hardly remember what I was doing 10 years ago... Really was the start of a legend! I'm really excited about the terminals though. I've always felt they needed to explore that story more!
