Noob WIP: Mark VI (unfolded by Robogenisis)

Wow, three years later and I have litterally gotten no further :( A bunch of stuff has vome up to keep me distracted. Not to mention the limitations of using resin in an apartment in Canada. I can only work on it on the balcony and only during prime weather. I think I'll try to get back to it...

Noob WIP: Mark VI (unfolded by Robogenisis)

Been a long time but the torso is pepped and I'm ready to move to the next piece(as soon as I decide what I'm doing next) Here's a bunch of pics of the torso:

"Help!" for: Fiberglassing, Resin, & Bondo

Hardener does exactly that, it hardens the bondo. Bondo is essentially Polyester Resin(aka fiberglass resin) with a filler to make it thicker(filler being predominantly talc from what I've read). If u wish to make Rondo then what u do is add polyester resin to dilute the putty. If u were...

Noob WIP: Mark VI (unfolded by Robogenisis)

I followed instructions as far as cutting and scoring. I found a butter knife and aluminum ruler to b invaluable for scoring. The knife was also invaluable when putting pieces together, I simply put a thin layer of hot glue on the tab(let it cool), lined it up with the other side, held it in...

Noob WIP: Mark VI (unfolded by Robogenisis)

Well I am really tired from work and really have no interest in pepping the freaking chest piece atm so I'm going to start back on that on the weekend. MIGHT have that put together by the end of the weekend. After that(weather and work permitting) I will resin the outside of both pieces during...

Noob WIP: Mark VI (unfolded by Robogenisis)

I had no intention of fiberglassing the outside(did u mean resin the outside?), I'm going to resin the outside then rondo the inside(slush method). It seems to me that the time saving, the lower cost and the simplicity of the method more than make up for the extra weight it's supposed to add...

Noob WIP: Mark VI (unfolded by Robogenisis)

The designer's name is in the thread name. "Unfolded by Robogenisis", I only have 1 thing against it, if u look at the side of the helmet behind the visor there is an area that is fairly flat ingame but has a mountain fold on the helmet(it will require quite a bit of sanding l8r to fix that) but...

Finished pepping the helmet! :D "Can I resin dad?!? Can I resin?!? Can I? Can I? CAN I?!?" "Now son, u know u have to pep ALL ur armor b4 u get to resin." "Awwww... I know :( but I don't WANT to. I want to resin." Lmao, I'm almost 28 but I feel like a 5yo right now :P Btw, the red is just...

    "Help!" for: Papercraft or Pepakura

As per the scaling tut by Xtreme TACTICS 101, with Robogenisis pep files u can put ur height in inches(with padding room) directly into Scale Factor and it should b right. But don't take my word for it, check out Method #3 in his tut here...
