    My Advice For Noobs

I'd like to add on to the list of places that this is not friendly toward: dorm rooms. I'm lucky enough to have a single-occupancy room in which I can set my various creations (I don't resin, fiberglass, or bondo inside) in their stages of dis-assembly, but it's a mess. Time consuming is also...

    The Waffle's First Build: Jorge-052(Pic Heavy/Large Pics)

To complement the previous, I'll actually be applying some spot filler first to make a better transition. By the end of this week I should have a nice working model. I'm putting aside some pep work to push this part forward to see if it'll turn out ok or if I need to re-work my methods.

    The Waffle's First Build: Jorge-052(Pic Heavy/Large Pics)

Been a while since I've done an update proper. Well, here's what I have for you so far. The helmet, nearing completion. The finished pep. I have a couple pics of the chest collar, after its first round of Bondo and sanding (just finished about 30 minutes prior to this update. It's...

"Help!" for: Fiberglassing, Resin, & Bondo

I've tried using sponge brushes for applying resin. They work about a little less than average, as they apply a pretty even coat, but they tend to soak up quite a bit of the resin and it's very hard to wring out said resin from the brush to use on the piece. Like you, I prefer bristle brushes.

    The Waffle's First Build: Jorge-052(Pic Heavy/Large Pics)

I may have to look into that for future reference ans smaller detailing. I have two tubs of Bondo I'm gonna have to use up sooner or later, and I'm not looking forward to using them. But the chestpiece isn't gonna smooth itself... Also, as a global announcement, classes this week have stalled...

Hmm. Interesting idea. About how much does said spot putty run, usually?

    The Waffle's First Build: Jorge-052(Pic Heavy/Large Pics)

Ok. Have a piecemeal update. I glassed and sanded one of the handplates. It's currently just after the initial sanding. Based on the photo, have any tips? I'll have pictures of the boot pieces up tonight once I cut off the excess fiberglass. Also, I'm having very slight warping on some pieces...

My SB ODST Armor Finished, Finally!

    Jorge KIA or just MIA

True. Very well put. It's nice to think about "what if" sometimes, though.

    Jorge KIA or just MIA

Well, if the books are any indication, then the likelyhood of survival with direct exposure to Slipspace is HIGHLY unlikely. Normal Slipspace is highly irradiated and very turbulent, and in First Strike, they had to line a Spirit with as much lead and structural bracing as they could get, and...

    The Waffle's First Build: Jorge-052(Pic Heavy/Large Pics)

So, I've got a brainstorming idea I want to throw out for you guys to think about. I was looking around a thrift store last night for some junk that I could cannibalize for parts for the backpack and armor when I came across a set of small speakers. Normally I wouldn't think much of these, but...
