for your ipod make sure to copy all your itunes to your new comp and then sync your ipod to your new comp by pluging it in then remove all songs and download the new version for the ipod.

If you are going to get a mac buy a program called bootcamp it will run MS on your mac book so you can use pep and u can also buy MS Office that u download off a CD. I just got a macbook also.
