I agree that the chest is a good place to start. Having the chest done first will give you a solid piece to use as scale reference as you build out the rest of your armor, plus it gives you a good sense of accomplishment to have a main piece wrapped up first ! :)

A lot of people choose to seal the foam with caulk or Plastidip because without it, the foam will absorb a lot of paint...and as Noble 10 mentioned, it will take a lot of coats to get the color to show. For me, it was definitely worth it to seal the foam first with a couple light coats of...
