I wanted like a tall mr. T like Mohawk. So I should just build it separately out of cardstock, Fiberglass the inside and then attach it and smooth it with bondo?
So I'm in the middle of pepping my iron man helmet and I want to add a mohawk like piece to the top of the helm but I'm wondering if I have to customize the pieces that made up the top of the head or is it easier to build it separately and attach it
I'd post pics to better explain what I mean...
So back in high school I took a stage craft class and I realized I could use what I learned there to add any color to a visor.
My idea is using Gels (colored sheets of see thru paper) they are used infront of stage lights to change the color of the light. So I was thinking if you take a clear...
Thank you everyone for your advice and ideas. I invested in a high/low heat glue gun and just printed off a second iron man helmet and will start it today
So I did the mod podge today on a gauntlet and I think I did it too thick cause it cane out warped and not as sturdy as it was. So all my taped peps are now display pieces and in starting all over :/
Every thing is looking amazing so far. whath appened to me with part of my iron man gauntlet was the 3D model of both left and right were the same but i didnt notice the 2D was inverted. but theres also an option in pepakura to invert the 2D so its the way you need it
thats a smart idea, just gotta see how many of these i have
i know! ive been looking at all the parts and been thinking "what have i gotten myself into?" lol i plan on making another iron man helmet and modify the design to make it more war machineish
For The resining question,(I just recently learned tape and resin don't mix well), I suggest hot glueing the parts together instead of held on by tape. That's what I'm going to do with mine. And then separate them later with a rotary tool.
Also there is a war machine helm by dub3an if that's...
Ok so I bought mod podge hard coat and a hot glue gun. So do I do what vv_7 said by adding some water to it? And also do I paint it on the inside and outside of my helmet?
