Awesome, I would also recommend you add links to the pep files in question directly on the front page. This will solve the usual problem of people visiting a forum and posting non-sensical requests for what files we are referring to.
I have Dubean's war machine files, I think, but I don't...
Agree with how nice you are dubean. Working on your War machine HD currently, but I was wondering about that Iron Man file also. You don't have to link me, but I was just wondering what is the best/ most accurate set of files out there. I would like to do Iron Mans most recent suit, I guess...
I think what everyone needs to do on this thread is post what scale factor worked for them, and their measurements of that body part. Then on the main page you (silent) can just list these numbers so people coming to look for what scale they need to use can just find the one corresponding to...
Sorry, I'm still fairly new to all of this so I'm probably asking a retarded question. For very small folds, I don't even cut or mess with them. I don't use the Join Adjacent Edges but if it looks tiny, I just leave it alone. Also, mountain and valley folds in like 90% of the time are...
Looking good!
Well, we are working on different models which are put into 3d differently so if we both applied the same scale factor to differently modeled peices we will wind up with differently sized peices. I would definately not just use whatever scale works for me. Well, heres a test...
Printed out another head tester for War Machine @ 1.10 on normal printer paper, then I cut and glue every other mark basically. Got the thing put together in like 30 minutes, but it was pretty rough :). Seems to be a pretty good fit, the only part I'm worried about is the neck portion and...
Nice work thus far. Are you using "Join Adjacent Edges" at all on your printouts? As per the helmet, I have a rather large head IMO and also in the opinion of hat makers everywhere, so I scaled my size tester helmet to 1.27 and then spent about 3 hours last night folding it up. I think...
I got my head tester printed and cut, I will try to put it together tonight. If the size seems ok I am going to attempt pepping the helmet this weekend, then I will be able to give some dimension insight.
Thx, I finally got some war machine files and started messing with them yesterday. I got the War Machine helmet tester file from Dubean's movie accurate thread. I decided to go ahead and scale it up, printed it and spent about 2 hours cutting it out last night. From what I've noticed so far...
Ok! A few more days of reading, researching, finding files, and figuring this stuff out and I think I only have one question. I go into the menu to change scale factor, and I see the current measurements for the War Machine tester pep is 269 MM for height. Well, I am going to go ahead and...
Alright, well I'm not attempting to hi-jack the thread, but I've noticed another thread about sizing started up by Silent, and after checking my head measurements I put the scale for the helmet at 1.27. The only problem is now the parts print over multiple sheets. How does one go about using...
Oy, thx for starting this thread also! I have yet to begin, but I'm currently looking for a war-machine helmet pep file or w/e. I have had lots of experience with 3dsMax, so hopefully I can use that to figure out some of these measurement issues between RL and 3D.
