Nightshade's Mark VI ODST Permutation Spartan Suit WIP

Well the first visor (mirror gold) I ordered from Ebay turned out to be some sorta scam cause I never received it in the mail (this has been reported to Ebay). I think I'm going to order THIS (*clicky*) visor today or tomorrow and hopefully get it installed ASAP. It's not gold, but it's ten...

Whatsup 405th members! Sorry for starting my progress thread only to sorta stop my progress (kinda ironic). It's just that my pre-first-year-of-college-summer has been quite busy. However, since my school starts late (in a month) and I've exhausted any possible excuses for not continuing with...

Need a new graphics card. Like, bad. Really friggin bad.

This should get the job done. Excellent customer reviews, low price and free shipping: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102814 You can read more about the card and its performance here: http://hothardware.com/Reviews/Sapphire-Radeon-HD-3650-512MB/

Hey guys I just thought of something

If you want, just do what I do: As you add rondo to the helmet in sections, place 2"x8" strips of matting over the wet rondo (without a lot of over-lapping), pushing it down so that it's about half-way submerged in the rondo. Once the rondo cures (after getting very hot!), mix up about 2-3...

Thank you! The tape I was using was just regular blue masking tape (*clicky*) which you can certainly find at any Home Depot or maybe a regular crafts store. It's a little less adhesive than normal masking tape, and doesn't leave any residue once removed. Perfect for temporary use. Also, the...

    Classifieds?

The "Classifieds" is a designated forum section in which members may post threads either offering up props, armor or other items for sale, or state that they are looking to buy a certain prop or armor. While it is used to spread the word and interest potential buyers or sellers, the real...

Does this buying list has everything necesary to finish my helmet?

I'd suggest buying one of THESE as well as two or three sheets of low-grit sandpaper. Together, you can get the majority of your sanding done, and then finish it off with some high-grit sanding paper. Unless you are very experienced, I have some doubts that you'll be able to effectively sand off...

Thanks guys! I guess the helmet took me a few days to pep (back then it took long due to school), about two days to harden and perhaps a week or two to smooth (again, during school). The torso took me a good week to build due to all the extra scrap-built supports and pieces on the inside to keep...

Spartan Torso Front (continued): Painted Stage: I'd like to thank the member Thorssoli for all the wonderful pictures in his epic armor thread. It was actually from his torso piece that I took a lot of inspiration, so here's a picture comparing the two (mine's on top, his is...

ODST Helmet: Painted (missing visor) That's the ODST helmet so far. The large gold-mirror visor was ordered a number of days ago, and I have no idea why I haven't received it yet ...
