To Rip or not to Rip? This has been disturbing me long enough.

343 seems pretty lenient on it. And it really seems to make everyone's lives a little bit easier. You don't have to spend a long time modeling or learning (for those who are new) and people get game accurate files. It's like when it rains and you have a muddy car.

PIC HEAVY. Awsome Custom Halo Reach Foam Armor. Getting Ready For Anime LA!!!!!

This is amazing. You're a foam god! And the detail, it's so exquisite and accurate. I've always loved foam builds (I'm not too good at it though :p). Like the gentleman above me expressed, I cannot wait to see that jet pack.

Hi I'm new here (knight helmet model updates)

Nice model my friend. I've also been trying to learn how to model in blended, and it's not easy for me. We welcome you to the 405th. Also, I believe there are some members here willing to transfer your. obj to pepakura and unfold it.

    Wiring LED TO helmet

You could try glow in the dark material, but other than that, LEDs are your best choice. Is there a Radio Shack in China? They sell LEDs for cheap. At my local Radio Shack, one LED costs about 1.50 USD. The large high brightness LEDs cost about 2.50 - 3.00 USD each.

"Help!" for: Fiberglassing, Resin, & Bondo

@KYgeLE88 For the knife, it's best to resin the outside to maintain some strength, but fiber glassing the inside will be too difficult, so it's recommended that you put a small hole in the hilt of the knife and pour rondo in it to harden it. Rondo is resin and bondo body filler mixed together...

That looks amazing. I like what you did for your under-armour.

    Help with Blender modeling.

That looks amazing. It flows very well. I'll definitely use the plane method. I'm going to try to model a reach health pack to gain experience. About planes, I'm not really understanding how their made. Do you start off with vertices and fill them in by adding the face, and then repeat?

    Help with Blender modeling.

Whoa, sounds complicated. I'll try out the cube method and see where that takes me. This modeling is tough. :p

    Help with Blender modeling.

Thanks a bunch mate. I'm also using blender to 2.49. The 2.5 version doesn't install properly on my computer. And you said you use planes, does this mean you connected vertices together and then added faces?

Thanks, I see what you mean. I didn't enable clipping.

    "Help!" for: Electronics

Has anyone tried to make a railgun or coilgun? I think that'll be a cool experiment (assuming you don't get hurt). Just use the formula F=IlBsinθ, where F=ma. This way you can find the acceleration and then the velocity.

Pictures would be nice. :) I think that's a better method, because the mirror is not doing it for me.

    Help with Blender modeling.

Thanks guys. I've been using noob to pro but I was confused about the subject on guide images. I might use a plane instead of a cube.

    Help with Blender modeling.

I'm having a problem in blender. I've been trying to learn 3D modeling in Blender, and I'm a little stumped. When I mirror the 3D view and model a helmet using reference pictures, it doesn't stay uniform to the opposite side. Is there anything I can do about this? Also, do recommend modeling...
