Brainstorming: How to get a weapon to strap on to your back?

To be honest, mate, I really have yet to see one of these brainstorming threads that take more than a few minutes of basic thought.

Pure's Realistic ODST Helmet Build! WIP

Don't rush your next pep mate. A crappy pep will effect the entire helmet and make detailing harder.

Brainstorming: How to get a weapon to strap on to your back?

This really isn't that hard of a problem. There are multiple things you could do. Velcro, anchoring system, magnets (which is the most practical), or a slid and lock system.

    Noble Six Build

Very crispy pe; folds look good and pieces are well aligned. You may enjoy making LEX's chest model as well.

    Fibreglass tape?

Interesting. I've.never seen this done, and I'm curious about the results. You should try this. If it doesn't work out, try fiber glass cloth (much easier to work with than mat). Tell us about it, because this seems like a nice alternative to cloth.

Halo Reach: ODST - Pepakura files

The helmet from Halo 3: ODST is same as the helmet in Reach. As for the lower armour pieces, you'll unfortunately have to scratch build them.

I'm really looking forward to this. I bet it will be super fun making those props.

Does anyone have ODST reference pictures?

That would be great echo. I don't have live, so I couldn't do it. :( But I would really appreciate it if you would give some dimensional shots. :D

    Help with Pepakura printing problems.

From the sound of it, it seems to be a direct printer issue. It could be an ink problem as opposed to a file problem. You should try printing another file to see if the issue persists. But I would recommend checking out the printer first.

    'Standard' size for armor?

There's no standard size, however most people, like someone here said, model their helmets to a height of 28 cm to 30 cm. You could find out the size of a Spartans head and model your scale around that if it's simply for display. Also, you can find an ODST helmet on the halo costuming wiki...

    "Help!" for: Electronics

I would use a battery for each part of the armour just so you can avoid a complex circuit. And you wont be as limited.

Haunted Pilot build/ Spartan III build.

Your pepping and scratch building skills are superb, and making a haunted helmet will be quite a feat. It will look amazing nonetheless. So far, so fantastic.

    Bevbors Awesome Portal Turret Model

Wow that's a very nice model. Also, some tips for unfolding are to make the pieces large (not too large), and easy to piece together. What I mean is for the piece to not be complex. Well, I'm terrible at explaining, but I know Ral Partha does a good share of unfolding. I'm sure some people will...
