How would one repaint an already painted EVA foam armor? The armor has a layer of plasti-dip along with two layers of spray paint. Would you spray over the entire thing with plasti-dip and then spray paint normally?

As the title says. I had split up the helmet into quarters and one of them came out slightly bent than the other but they still line up well. How should I fill the gap between them?
I have finished sanding and glueing my 3D printed helmet but I think I might’ve sprayed the rustoleum primer too little in some areas. Would another coat be ok or could I just sand it off then paint over it?
I finally cut out and heat sealed the foam pieces, I started spraying plastidip. Attached are some of the pieces after 3 coats. Did I add too little on each coat, and if I did another heavier coat would it fix the look?
