Hey sorry for the delay in posting, I have had some trouble with my university place so the project has basically been put on hold. All I have managed to do is resin a single shoulder and shape the most of it, I still have the small side parts to make more rounded but that shouldn't take too...

Cut the visor once the whole helmet is finished and ready for paint, otherwise you might cut it to find out that its just slightly a different shape once finished, unless of course you have a few spare motorcycle visors and just can't wait that long :p

Welcome to the 405th, always good to have more people onboard! There are a few people that use vacuum forming for various things, I think the best one being Rube's Visor for his ODST. If any of them catch this then they might post up, you never know. I second the checking of the stickies...

I had this problem, your going to have to look at what you are missing in comparion to the 3d image then print out those, long job but its worth it when you have a finished lid :D

Well I have just about got the first piece of my armor ready to sand and I was wondering what everyone uses to sand down their glassed armor, When I looked at the complete noob list all I could see for sanding was the dremel, does this mean that you don't need to do any by hand?

I think that I could make the moulds easily, I just need to a piece up first. I have resin coated the outside of a shoulder and will cut away the supports shortly to fibreglass the inside, I am going to work on finishing making that then see about silicon moulding it before I make anything else...

I think if your looking for a Holster you could go onto the web or to any Army Surplus store and pick one up, this is more so for marines then spartans as they can wear the webbing and it looks fine but I'm sure a holster could be attached to an undersuit as you can buy them seperate to webbing...
