It's looking solid for a first build!! Keep in mind those beveled cuts and to sharpen or change your blade often. I gotta say, I think it's safe to assume that DFT has single-handedly (well, for the most part) created a full-scale ODST movement.. and I just might join the drop into hell! Lol

What thickness foam are you using? I can't really tell from the picture but if it's below 6 or 5mm in thickness then that might be part of the problem. From my experience, anything below won't hold because it's too thin. You end up with a wobbly mess! D: Another problem might be that you're not...

It's not a bad idea, I say go for it. Whatever you think is best for you, go for it. From my experience, it's a fairly easy helmet to build. That's not to say that it doesn't have it's tricky parts but it's definitely on the "for beginners" side of the spectrum. I made mine out of EVA foam too...

Carbines always been my go-to weapon. Awesome job, dude!
