Thanks everyone ;) I was only able to do it so fast due to the excellent prep work by BLACKULA727 :)
And I also got the torso done today :P I installed the buckles and sprayed on the plastidip :) It just needs paint. (sorry for the poor quality of the photos :P I can only get pics of myself with...
Look what came in the mail this morning! :D
Special thanks to BLACKULA727 for make suck an awesome helmet ;)
I'm painting this bad boy as we speak so keep an eye out for some more pictures :)
I don't know where the others get them. But I got mine buy saving the picture of my in game Reach spartan from Bungie.net. Then I just uploaded it to photobucket.
Main construction done. Just have to do all the touch ups and detailing now.
Keep in mind, It doesn't look bent when the bottom parts are connected and it's on me. I'll get better pics of it with me wearing it tomorrow ;)

Now that school is officially over for me for the next month, it is the perfect time to start my 1st complete foam build. I will be building my in game reach spartan:
Here is the 1st progress pic i took to show how work was going and to make sure it looked right size wise to others considering...

I started with cardboard:
Then untaped it and used foam
Got the dremel out and used it to make the detail lines int the front, got the cardboard templates made for the shoulders and...
That's awesome! :D
I like your idea for the hands. That method would work good on some other alien type build as well ;)
Can't wait to see how you tackle the grunt skin and finish up the armor.
