I use Wings3D for most of what I do for this armor project. (free also) I find it easier than blender to create and modify my models, far fewer menus and options. This is just my opinion, no need to tell me I am wrong. I do use blender for other things that are not related to building my armor.

Just a tip that I use in colder weather. I have a big moving box, and after I finish with the resin I place 2 liter bottles of water in the box with the wet armor. My hot tap water is at about 120 degrees. I fill up as many 2 liter bottles as I can. I have found that even in 60+ degree...

That is up to you. If that is what you feel you need to do to get the pieces together then don't let anyone tell you not to. For myself, I do not. I just start with a centralized piece and start gluing. Again, this is what works for me.
