    Spartan1313's Z-040 Pulse Grenade Build

More progress! I used the belt sander some more to bevel the edges properly to match my reference image V my next step will be to put the X in across the sides and to try to dent it in like it shows. anyone have any ideas for how to grind into my block in an inverted pyramid like that?

you're right, It's soaked in like copper, chromium, and arsenic I think (am I remembering that right?) I can't imagine inhaling arsenic is healthy by any means. And here I was thinking I was past the whole airmask thing.

    Spartan1313's Z-040 Pulse Grenade Build

After over an hour of using the belt sander, I have taken the original rough block down into a perfect cube of wood. I know it doesn't look like much, but it was very hard to actually make it symmetrical. because this is so small, and because I want to become better at this, I am trying to make...

    Spartan1313's Z-040 Pulse Grenade Build

Alright, if you haven't guessed by the title this is my thread on making a pulse grenade. I am making/carving this grenade from this 4"x4" cube of pressure treated wood left over from a home improvement project, then adding the little spikes. I want this to be as accurate as possible.

"Flexible" Spartan Boots ( quick tip for foam builds w/ pictures )

there is a very easy solution to this problem that I used in my Agent Maine build. if you put an accordion piece of foam or fabric on the inside, it allows flexing to occur easily. I apologize for the worn appearance, I'm not allowed to "Start anything" now that there is no immediate convention...

    Titanfall I.M.C. titan pilot (Foam/Pepakura)

I like the undersuit! it is definitely pretty accurate to the in game model. I have one rather silly question though, what is that type of clothing called normally (obviously not undersuit right?)

    Spartan1313's Agent Maine (RvB)

I spent a bit of this weekend installing the front handle to the bruteshot. Basically I bent a plastic clothing hangar using a heat gun and gloves into the shape I needed, spray painted it silver, then put black hockey tape on it. It was surprisingly hard, I wasted 2 hangars before I was able to...

    Who's Going To Be First???

from the single image available, I would hazard a guess that the helmet is a pathfinder/mark V B hybrid, the torso really is just a slimmer mark VI chief version, and the shoulders appear to resemble the soldier. forearms look to be a more curved version of chief, kinda like what they had before...

    Demogorgon's Dovahkiin Daedric Build

This is so cool! I love that hot glue texture thing you did to the helmet and the test piece. it looks awesome painted black!

    War machine wip. Rancid

that is so awesome! I am always impressed by people who put electronics inside of their armor. I am just a little confused though, how to you activate the faceplate to actually slide up while wearing the helmet? *Does not know what a limit switch is*

    Spartan1313's Agent Maine (RvB)

All right, so I learned at the convention that I did a very good job with the comfort aspects of my armor. What needs work is durability, the ability to carry stuff, and something "more". I am going back now and doing all the things I wanted to do before and ran out of time. My first major...

    Sarlume's helmet project

Wow, you are really getting better with foam helmets! I can see a very clear improvement from your first to Meta and the Wetworks! It's awesome! I am also excited to see that you are able to make these look good while being frugal with the materials. it gives me more hope for my projects.

thanks! yeah, I kinda made it relatively quickly. I was on a roll hahaha. Thanks! The bruteshot was a somewhat rushed job, So I am glad that you like it! I wish I had time to make the little strip by the barrel and the black reinforcing along the blade, but oh well. Now that the deadline...
