Im midway through pepping a recon. Im planning on a black base with white streaks that kinda emulate the Republic commando. What Do you guys think of that idea? I'll take any other suggestions on schemes, or ways to actually paint it.

How strong is just the resin itself? Say if i have a pep helmet finished, and i dont have the dough to buy fiberglass right now will the resin be sufficient to take a light beating? Any comments on this are welcome.

depends on what theyre for, i suppose that you really would have to be careful if ur AR was on ur back, but then again, it would LOOK awesome

Dont feel too bad. I Asked for the same stuff when i was new(er). But i actually found that it looks way better when its homemade, partly because you can customize it, and partly because you know that you made it... Good luck though =]
