Put it in a table vice and bend it bit by bit and then hammer out the angles, if you mean actually curve it over the top of the rifle. If you mean just one bend so it angles down like in the pic it should be really simple, just bend it using vice, hammer, table, fist, etc.

Ya different thicknesses of coating will do that, hence the test burns of the fuses. Your instructor was a smart man.

I have not had a problem yet but whenever you make a new batch always do several test burns. Believe me I know what can happen if things go wrong first hand. Never ever try to make your own incindiary devices. The only reason that I make fuses is because it's impossible to buy stuff like that...

Mix gun powder with water until you get a thick paste (make sure it's really thick). Then coat cotton string with the paste and let dry. Works like a charm.

Lifes just got to much drama, distance yourself from all the drama and I guarantee you that you will feel better once you do that.

You can always detail it afterwards with bondo, cardboard, etc., the more time you spend on it the better it will look.
