Looks like it's going well so far. One question: why are you making LD and HD versions of the same pieces? I'm sure it's great for practice but it just seems like a bit of a waste as far as time and resources.

Thanks for the info. The shotgun, at least the pep file that I found, is pretty straightforward except for two parts (the barrel and hand-grip). They're too long to fit on a regular 8.5x11 so you've got to have a couple sheets of Legal handy.

Awesome job so far, looking forward to seeing the completed product. One question: which pep file did you use for the AR? I'm about to start on my weapon and and still up in the air on whether to do that AR or the shotty. Thanks and keep up the good work!

In my limited experience, be careful when applying the first coat of resin. The paper can warp pretty badly if you apply too much too quickly. I'd do a really light first coat, just enough to lock the shape in, without risking warping the helm. Good luck!

UPDATE: Got the chest fully glassed and resin'd. I applied two layers of resin before glassing so it's sturdy as hell now. Probably going to add one more once I smooth everything down. At some point in this whole process, the back shifted a bit so it's not symetrical anymore. Any ideas on...

Yeah I think I'm going to redo the handplates and HD the rest of what I haven't done yet. In the long run, it beats trying to bondo in details later on. Probably won't get to that for a while though. Moving back to school at the end of the week so I'm focusing on getting the chest completely...

Everything fits great. I've been scaling "on-the-fly", so it's all come together pretty well, if not with a little trial-and-error. Need to go buy another ream or two of card stock to finish the job.
