Okay, here we go. First timer Mk VI suit.

Hey, I got work done! First off I sawed through that chest piece. I'm glad it was a tester... Because it's small! The sides won't quite join around my body, so I either lose 15lbs in a month, or I make a larger size next time I go HD with it. Damn... I hope the next one fits though...

Double post, but...whew. Got a good-fitting hand plate and diaper, so I'm feeling somewhat better. Jolly good! More to come. I think tomorrow I'll be cutting my tester chest and see how my sizing is going.

Okay, here we go. First timer Mk VI suit.

Well, time for another update. I got a lot done, but... simultaneously, kinda didn't. Dumb holiday, bad sizing, all that. I've been busy since my last post. You can see two handplates that still seem just slightly too big for me. Damn these tiny hands!! I'm like that guy on the Burger...

Okay, here we go. First timer Mk VI suit.

Well, moving on. I pepped a fitter gauntlet plate from MrOreo123, and... not sure if it's sized where i want it to be or not. Seems like it may just be a bit far over the knuckle/past the wrist, but I'm not entirely certain how the fitment there is supposed to be. I wonder about how it'll be...

Okay, here we go. First timer Mk VI suit.

I've been doing the same myself. I spent a lot of time reading and popping around on here before starting, or even posting. It works out well so far, but at times I suppose I just didn't have everything lined up perfectly. Here's the experience. Also, I'm kind of excited, actually, about...

Okay, here we go. First timer Mk VI suit.

Alright. Wow, a cople posts in and I'm getting awesome advice. I'm going to give the cutting a go. Cutting wheel with the ole dremel I guess? Also, the tape was on after the resin, to hold the rondo in where there was slight gapping from my inexpert pepping. All that frame is is t-joints...

LongShot-X's Mark VI HD MJOLNIR Armor - WIP

Whew. Well I marathoned through this thread last night/this morning. I can tell you awesome job, but you know that already... but hell. Still. Awesome job! Y'know when you're wearing the suit without the helmet, it confirms something I always suspected. Gordon Freeman is Master Chief! I...

Okay, here we go. First timer Mk VI suit.

Y'know since I'm going to have to saw through the bloody thing as well, that's not a bad idea. I'd certaintly feel better about cutting through one before I cut through another. I just wish I could get my shoulders/head into it to see how it sat on me so that I could make any last-minute...

Questions of sanding, and rondo, and both together.

Hey guys, just wanted to bump this for those of you watching it and lending me your time. I threw a link to my in-progress thread in the signature. Thanks again for everything!

Okay, here we go. First timer Mk VI suit.

Alright. I've hassled with a few questions, done a painful amount of reading, pepped 5 forearms before getting it right, and off we go. This is the chest, Low-Def from Robogenesis with a second coat of resin. I've never pepped or anything else before, so this is all new to me. I started...

Awesome. Well I've finished the topcoat of resin, so this info all came just in time. Gonna let it dry off, check out some sanders online, and then it's rondo time. Thanks again chaps!

Well dam-- I mean... darn. I was trying to edit the post to remove the cursing but the browser just hangs. Sorry mods! Won't happen again. Burns: Thanks for the offer, and you'll probably be taken up on it. Hitting up your FB soon as I finish this post, to also say... S13nt, as someone who...

Questions of sanding, and rondo, and both together.

Thom, thanks for an awesome and informative reply. If I'm feeling spunky I may just start throwing pictures around, but I prefer to make sure I haven't made an ass of myself first. My plan for this is to learn what I can making this set of armor, and then as I go, upgrade pieces in terms of...

Questions of sanding, and rondo, and both together.

So I want to get things straight in my mind as far as this goes and it seems like I start to find some conflicting information, so I'd like to get some opinions. If I am, say, working on a shin. I have pepped it, resin'd the outside and rondo'd the inside, do I still bondo the outside for...
