I used smooth-on ONYX fast. it is a 2 part liquid plastic that you mix by volume not weight which makes life really easy. it is a very simple system to use. and is not a whole lot more expensive than fiberglass. If you are going to use it on a whole suit expect to use 3-4 trial units...

At least you have/had a valid reason, i'm just slow. work on it comes and goes when time allows. The age old conundrum of life strikes again.

This is looking awesome. Good idea with the pre-made helmet tht you just repainted. wish I thought of that before I made my first(too big)...then second(too small)...then third(just right). which finally worked. cant wait to see the progress.

I dont think I want to go the vacuum form route quite yet. (mostly because I don't know if I have the space and materials for everything.) I think I am going to try and see if I can contact the Etsy seller and get some dimensions. I've heard that most sellers are easy to get into contact with...

MKVI Master Chief WIP (Pic heavy)

So with only a week left till graduation, I have all the pep glued for everything mi us the feet and hands. The last jetpack is in its final stages of fi fishing with painting coming close behind. I think I've cracked the code on how I'm going to assemble everything for the torso. Its gonna...

Both legs are done!! (Minus the feet) all that is left is the right arm and both hands. Upper part of the arm is cut out and just needs glued. Before I start finishing on the paper pieces I think I'm gonna attach all the torso pieces into one so i can get some floor space back.

    Need Help with Pepakura

As long as you are careful where you part it in 2. I'm parting it along the white line, so majority of the helmet is intact.

Yes, two parts that are held together with elastic that will be able to stretch apart just enough to get my head through then squeeze back together.

Halo 4 Warrior Helmet Build ( need a bit of help pls )

The more perfect you can make your pep now the easier it is in the long run. One thing I came across was that when I made my first helmet i tried the technique of covering it in wood glue... save yourself the trouble!!! Dont know if it was something I did but was not a good experience...
