    Tippmann a5 will be DMR

Actually, With the number of modifications available for the A5 platform it's not impossible to build a DMR mod. As a matter of fact, fibreglass is not even necessary. A couple of my team members were able to mod a phenom into a magfed based marker with milsig parts bullpup kits...

    A Quick Question

Don't expect the materials to be used for paintball or airsoft for that matter foam can work for other parts of the armor, essentially eva foam is heaver and more durable than the foam they use in chest pads and arm guards. But I highly advise you do not use any of this for paintball. if you...

    My Carter build

I guess the other possible option (well for weight considerations) is to print out the pep on foam, and cut out the EVA foam (that should solve the problem of the shield being too heavy once rondo'd)

There's a different method where people use gel based superglue to seal the gaps. I've also seen plumber's caulk applied for the gaps That's why I'm asking if there are different methods

    First attempts at foam armor.

Man it looks awesome, I'm currently having difficulty I am currently using Rhinoc Pep files. I noticed that the gauntlets (forearms) require a lot of cutting since it's hard to bend EVA foam into sharp angles. Great idea with the crafting foam! Your build displays the importance of having...

I think there's a way to do this Using the following: Option 1 UV LED's small digital camera (with lcd display) Option2 UV LED's Small pinhole digital camera LCD Glasses (Take a look at the Riveria LCD Glasses system) For Option 1: Attach the UVLED's to the exterior of the...

Super Glue works best, I've been constructing foam just a few days ago. The bond it makes is very strong. When I accidentally glued the wrong parts together I had to use a knife to separate the pieces. Thanks for the tip on the hot glue to fill gaps, it works!

    Foam Cutting Tools

Thanks for the warm Welcome! Yah, I've used the saws back in in school (it's been a while) Just never touched a hot knife before (I may purchase one after work today) Will send an update with comparisons Yes I've seen the turkey carver. The electric carver is supposedly a solution to...

    Foam Cutting Tools

Hi Guys, I'm currently building my first set of armors with Foam! So far, I've completed one forearm and it took quite a bit of effort in terms of learning curve but I'm determined to finish the rest of the armor by Christmas. well here's the problem, I've noticed that with several...

Reach foam armor and Pilot helmet wip

awesome man! Thanks! You're an inspiration to all future foam builders! I've just finished my first forearm ( I realized that scaling with foam is different, since it's bigger and bulkier, but very good to work with) I find eva foam eats through blades like crazy, I might invest in a...

Man that's so awesome man! I'm actually building my first armor and it's in foam as well. I've realized that with foam, a lot of time and effort is used on cutting out shapes, I've realized I have some gaps in my armor, what did you use to fill those gaps in? Thanks!
