Very nice job. Doesn't seem to be much warping. Keep up the good work and you'll have a nice suit.

"Help!" for: Armor Mounting / Costume Assembling

You could base all the strapping around chest. Meaning you use the chest as a base, attach the biceps to the chest, forearms to biceps, etc... You may want to invest in something like an H harness just so your not putting a huge weight load on the chest piece.

Tjx62's Custom Reach suit WIP (Uber Pic Heavy)

So I pretty much finished the resining the other day, but there's a problem. The torso is essentially FUBAR. The back bows inward, the collar is skewed, the front panel is all warped and the bottom connectors are all out of whack. It would probably take me twice as long to fix it with bondo then...

    Costume

Since everybody's already mentioned about selling on the forum, let me offer an alternative. Do it yourself, but do it out of foam. It's CHEAP, faster then resin/fiber, and lighter. Foam mats cost about $5 on harbor freight or maybe $13 over at Walmart. Since you only have to glue and seal it...

    Saint Seiya models

Oh yea, my bad. I failed to mention that SketchUp won't import .OBJ by default. You may be able to find a .OBJ importer plugin, but looking around, it seems like the ones I found is down. The other option is to use another modeling program, to first import the .OBJ and then export it in a format...

    Saint Seiya models

The only way to do it is to actually edit the 3d model. There are free programs like blender and Google Sketchup that allow oyu to modify 3d models. I use google sketchup if I need to break down something. It's free and easy to pick up and learn with no prior knowledge.

Tjx62's Custom Reach suit WIP (Uber Pic Heavy)

Well friday was an incredibly busy day for me. Got home from work at 1 and didn't stop working on my suit till the sun was out of the sky. So as of right now, the suit is about 95% resined. The cod piece and the heel of the boot needs a coat on the inside which should be done by monday if I get...

Tjx62's Custom Reach suit WIP (Uber Pic Heavy)

In pep designer, go to the top to 2D Menu, then select "Invert Pattern". It'll mess all the pieces up most likely, so you will need to rearrange them all manually.

Thanks! Whoops, looks like I forgot to link the most current chest piece that L3x has done. Heres the link to it http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/28565-Another-Reach-Mark-V-Torso?p=547232#post547232 . Its broken down into sections, so the ab plate is a PDO of its own. Thigh is on post #1...
