I've only had the chance to play a few times but I'm definitely going to buy it. Of course I'm a big fan of C&C so this is a must. The gameplay (to me) for a console is very good. The AI may not be the best but I think the controls are pretty good.

I haven't built any wooden weapons but have worked with wood. Pine or MDF (imo) would be your best bets.

No it won't work as a plasma nade. It's too small. Check the wiki for size of the plasma. Yes it looks baseball size in the game but it's not. It's bigger (by quite a bit). Go with the file Garland put up. It's very accurate.
