Great build! Following for sure :) Good idea with the mud, might need to use that on my own repaint in the future ;)

Great A+ idea! This is why I love the 405th :) Thank you.

3D printed ODST armor [picture heavy] (All files made available)

Thank you :) As a continuation of my quest for more mobility (and better scaling), the thigh pieces were next. However, with my old thigh pieces, they felt too big (flopped around) and I couldn't sit in them (due to fear or breaking and because when I did, the front portion raised a lot making...

3D printed ODST armor [picture heavy] (All files made available)

Hey ya'll. Time for a little update :) First of all my top priority at this moment is mobility. The top area of the suit is fine, but the legs are really restricting. Furthermore I was not able to sit down nor sit on one knee for resting and cool photo's :(. So, I took out my trademark...

Electronics, design, and other misc help

I’m an electrical engineer so I might be able to help you out with the electronics :) Helmet being an accessory isn’t a problem whatsoever, but it does bring up a major question: Do you want a seperate power supply and/or switches (like I did in my odst helmet) or do you want to connect it to...

FILE UPDATES, WOOHOO I've finally had some me-time to just sit and work a bit on the models. All previous models which were pre-cut have now been re-assembled by a team of nanomachines (and super glue) and the models which weren't smoothed yet have been smoothed! Hooray! Now please excuse me...

3D Printed HALO Marine using Kryptek Mandrake

A huge tip from one 3d print fanatic to a future one: take it slow, and calibrate the thing first so it produces near-perfect surfaces. The higher the layer height the quicker it'll print, yeah, but smoothing will take double the time you saved by printing now. PETG is a great choice for build...

    One way colored material?

There are one-way mirror foils that you can put over glass, which might work on plastics too if you want to try it out. I'm not sure if it'd work, but I guess if you put the mirror on the inside, and the coloring on the outside you might get what you want?

Having a problem with the site? POST HERE!

Pressing the stickied posts in the Europe regiment forum brings me to completely unrelated posts from 2007, not the con list I'd like to see. Even entering the address manually or in incognito mode it brings me to other posts. I can't find other posts which also bring this issue. For example...

3D printed ODST armor [picture heavy] (All files made available)

Welp, a LOT of people requested the release of my backpack files. I promised them that I'd release them once I got the hinges and lock fixed, but to be honest I don't think I got the time in the near future. Work's been busy :( Therefore I'm releasing the files as I've used them today for free...

    Uncomfortable armor

Hey all, So last weekend I went to a con cosplayed in my 3d printed ODST suit. Part of it was a printed backpack, which weighed 3 kg on its own, and the underarmor/backarmor which was also printed in hard plastic. Now I'm no stranger to backpacking and heavy lifting without ever complaining, so...
