Hey everyone! My name is Taran Johnson and I live in Seaside, Oregon. I always hate writing bios because I am never sure what to put... I love fantasy and sci-fi and love star wars, star trek, firefly, halo, and more. I've always loved building and creating stuff. I remember when I was a little kid, I would find cardboard boxes laying around and I would cut them up and build armor, swords and shields for all of the games I'd play with my friends and little brothers. I kind of fell away from the whole fabrication thing for a while, but since then I have always been looking for something to sate my need to build stuff. I bought lego sets or looked at building instructions to learn how stuff went together. I spent a lot of time watching bfx on youtube among other things. After a while I realized that I needed to stop watching and looking at what everyone else was doing and start doing my own stuff again. I found this website a while ago and spend hours looking at all of the elite showcase stuff and learning people's crafts. It wasn't until now that I finally registered! Wow, talk about finally taking a step forward. It was because of the people in this community that I got back into something that I didn't realize I loved doing and now I feel that it is only fair to become a part of the community and share what I create with every one of you. So, as of right now I have gotten myself into the world of making armor and eventually will get into the world of cosplay once I have something completed. I can only hope I know what I'm doing - I've learned a lot, I'm learning as I move forward, and hopefully I can become a master of this craft. I can't wait to see what the future holds!
