Complete Pepakura Viewer for CraftROBO guide/FAQ

Make sure you have the carrier sheet centered between the two white rollers. There should be a line on the left side of the left roller that you want to line the edge of your carrier sheet up with.

sounds to me like you need to reinstall the driver for the craftrobo. Have you instaled the programs that came on the disk with the craftrobo? Try doing that. As far as the registration marks, try aligning the top of the page to the edge of the carrier sheet. That works wonders for me.

    CrafyROBO?

No problem =D Here to help. Considering I've cut/assembled about 3 suits worth already. 3 suits worth of parts to get 1 assembled. A learning process indeed, but once I got it down its going pretty fast. The machine helped alot.

Silhouette SD (craft robo) Wont cut.

hmmmmmm Normally when I go through all that I leave mine set at auto search for the reg. marks. I just move the paper all the way to the edge of the carrier sheet. And the CUT box should be available before the registration marks are found. After searching all the registration marks it then...

Silhouette SD (craft robo) Wont cut.

Could you possibly go through exactly what you do when you attempt to cut? If you give a step by step I may be able to help you out with what you are missing.

In your cut line settings, change the cut line segment to .05 and your uncut line segment to .1. That took care of most of the chopped off tabs for me :)

    CrafyROBO?

The Silhouette SD is just the newest version of the Craft Robo. They both run the same software. I have the SD and love it. Havn't had many problems with it at all. And Calladar, as for the blades dulling, I suggest folding up a piece of foil so its about 5 layers thick, then pull your blade...

    CrafyROBO?

It's saved me a lot of time. Takes about an hour to fully cut out a 15 page pep file. Just make sure you understand fully how to use it. Theres a tutorial and lots of good info in the creation discussion thread. I suggest you give that a good read through as most questions have been answered...

    smoking armor concept

As a kid I had a few model trains that had the smoker bite the dust so I got adventurous and decided I'd pull them apart. Pretty much all it amounts to is a heating tray that connects to the stack with a device to blow the smoke up and out(usually a tiny bellows connected to the main drive...

Should I build a helmut or not???

You can always go ahead and get practice with that one so you have a base for the final product. I have a few scraped works that I'm using as my practice pieces and I'm glad I did. You learn how its going to react to each part of the process.

Should I build a helmut or not???

Hey there bighouse! Looks like you did a great job on it, minimal warping that I can see from your pictures. I know when I'm preping to harden my helmet or other parts of the suit, I plan on building supports out of cardstock to maintain the desired shape. Many pieces of the armor come with...

You also must consider that each person's suit has been scaled to fit them, not you and your friends/actors. Getting a hold of their work isn't necessarily going to help you out at all.

Should I build a helmut or not???

Just for future reference Master Beef, this is considered a thread hijacking and is generally frowned upon. A quick use of the search function will show you theres several tutorials on what people have used for visors, be it motorcycle visors or vaccu-formed. @ Big House : If you have a...

Complete Pepakura Viewer for CraftROBO guide/FAQ

Hey savage, Seriously try out the foil sharpening method. After cutting out about 250 pages my blade is still going strong. Take a sheet of foil and fold it over several times into a pad. Take your blade housing out of the machine with the pink cap attached. Put your foil on a hard surface...

    Reach CQC helmet

My vote is to wait until you are satisfied with it. I know I don't like when I give people what I feel is unfinished work.
