    H3 Marine W.I.P

Wow, so, looooong time since I updated last. I've been swamped lately, between school, family stuff, etc. Anyways, despite not having any real time to spare, I did manage to get a good deal of work done. No pictures though, since the camera makes it a pain to transfer images to my computer. Not...

    Life size acurate LEGO head-helmet

    Interesting idea.

    glue for pep?

Low temp hotglue here. Just have to be careful applying the first coat of resin, as that stuff gets pretty close to hot enough to melt it sometimes.

    Respirator help

Respirators are only $30, come with a cartridge, and will save you on medicine and years of your life. Plus, you don't have to deal with that awful smell all the time. You should also use it when sanding anything; those particles can be just as harmful to your lungs as the fumes from resin or bondo.

    Inexpensive Armor Building

I hear paper mache has some pretty big downsides (water exposure is a large problem from what I hear). It's also not going to be anywhere close to as strong as fiberglass.

A "Fluffy" Marine in the works

Alright, another marine! Looks like it's coming along well.

    Helmet padding

Generally when scaling, it's said to leave something like an inch or two for padding. I imagine that's the correct amount, but I would dig around for some kind of tutorial; I would find it hard to believe that there isn't a single one here.

    H3 Marine W.I.P

Wow, so, I was gone for a good long time there. Long delay, but I assure you all, I've been steadily pepping away (though certainly not speedily). I'm putting off printing out anything else though as the printer is getting exceedingly low on ink, and I'm not the only one using it. That aside, I...

First Halo 3 Marine Helmet -WIP-

Also, I know that photobucket has one of those built in so can literally copy and paste the forum code. It's pretty handy.

    time crunch

If you sit down like I am and just pep all day long, you can probably finish most of it within a month I imagine. I also have to say that from the pictures, your pep looks really good.

    Halo 3 marine

I'm doing a set of marine armor myself. I'm eager to see how yours goes. You seem to have quite a lead on me. Most of mine isn't even pepped yet, much less resined or glassed.

    the noobist-me

The guys above me both have it exactly right. That video is one of the best to start on, and the tutorials around here will be worth their weight in gold when it comes to this stuff. Also, http://halocostuming.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page has some useful stuff on it. Have a look around it a few...

    My ODST armor (WIP)

That's some really nice work. You are certainly moving along much faster than I am. I've got less work, and I still haven't even printed anything from the torso. Also, it's "polyurethane resin" in English.

    It starts here

A word of caution: if this is your first pep, it'll be a tough learning experience, but a good one. I did this one first time, and since it, every other piece has come out beautifully.
