I completely agree with you on all of the above points, and more. I've made more attempts at helping to get the 405th back to it's once amazing status more times then I can count on my fingers, yet each time I try the Staff here never seems to let me go ahead with my (Or anybody elses) plans...

Not true. Take a look around the RPF and you will notice that when the word "scratchbuild" is in the title, they defenatly do not use pepakura files as a base template. I've seen a lot of cardboard armour aswell as foam armour that was 100% scratch built without the aid of pepakura or stencils...
