    Support Struts

Although this tutorial doesn't cover adding struts, the first half should give you info on how to get the model to a condition where you can add struts in a 3D program http://405th.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17134&st=0&p=271730&#entry271730

And What Would You Like For Christmas?

I asked my parents for grape vines and a few apricot trees....I purchased a house this summer, so a lot of landscaping has been going on.

    Samus Pep

The chest piece looks nice, but before you take the time to fiberglass it have you considered how you are going to support the shoulder pads? It seems like the common way is to have them semi-rigidly mounted to the chest piece...so you may want to consider adding slot or structures to the chest...

For the visor there are green mirrored motorcycle visors, unfortunately they aren't really solid green and tend to be a bit more multicolored.

If We Wanted To Improve The 405Th Forums...

The search feature on the forums is rather crummy and if I'm looking for something I find it's usually better to just to use Google with a "site:405th.com/forums" limitation. Perhaps the current search feature could just be replaced with a Google one.

    Trying To Work Around Cardstock...

Have you considered trying to use a printer at school? If you describe what your doing as large scale origami to an art teacher they will probably be more than happy to help you.

Nasa Found Water On The Mooonnnnnn!

If the last age of colonization is a guide to human's future endevours in space, the key to colonizing the moon isn't water, it's money. Colonizing the moon has to be profitable for those involved, or it simply won't happen. Once we find the equivalent of tobacco or Incan gold on the moon, then...

Rubies Supreme Edition Master Chief Costume Repainted

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to spruce up the Rubies outfit? If its less than a month, I might have to start posting a link to this thread in all those "I'm going to make a full outfit in 3 weeks" posts.

3D File Won't Load On Pepakura Designer?

Usually when that happens, there's something wrong with the model in the 3D file. If you're using Blender I would suggest: 1. Combine all the meshes into a single mesh 2. Remove all the double verticies, and 3. Recalculate the surface normals.

    3D-Model To Pepakura

You'll probably need to edit the model (ie, add support struts) so I recommend: 1. Download the file in the Collada format 2. Import the file into Blender (www.blender.org) 3. Modify the file 4. Export from Blender as a .obj file 5. Import into Pepakura designer and unfold

    Final Halo-Ween Suit

The suit looks good, but I'd recommend a bit more work on the paint job. Primer for the low spots and metallic paint for the high points will really make the details stand out.

    An Interesting Halloween Story

For what it's worth, there will always be people like that so it's best just to ignore them. Overall, the saddest part is that the little kid is picking up terrible habits that will hinder him for the rest of his life. In a couple of years, he'll probably get in fights at school, get expelled...

    3D Progam

What do you mean by "higher quality model"? If you're talking about photo realistic animation, MAYA is probably the way to go, but in terms of the low polygon modeling that is Pepakura, there is no difference between blender and all the standard programs out there.

Non-Halo , But You Guys Seemed The Best Shot At This.

Pepakura would probably work pretty well for a squared off version of the Samus suit...heck it would probably be easier to make than the Samus suit because you won't have to do all that sanding needed to make the suit smooth and round.
