Well, I learn something everyday.

They are sizes of paper. If you're in the US, most paper you can find is letter sized. I think A4 is more common in Japan, which I believe is the country that the pepakura programs come from. You're probably going to want to set everything to letter sized.

Another bay area'er, sweet. Looks good so far. Some of the pieces even look like they won't need much smoothing when you get to the bondo phase.

Did you use paper or cardstock? Paper generally doesn't work too well because of that warping effect.

Did you apply a release agent to your model before putting on the silicone? It might be from that, if you didn't.

Unfortunately not. I spent the US launch cooped up in a plane, and the Japanese launch exhausted from said plane ride. I did order the legendary edition off of Amazon, though. Looking forward to playing it when I get back.

On the cheap, cardboard or paper is probably your best bet. The jump in cost going from paper-based to a full on prop is staggering, and with your low budget, it'd be too large a hurdle to overcome. As for the files, you can find links to many available files in the pepakura and cardboard armor...

Thanks for the advice! I busted out the ol' electric sanding tool and started working on it with a low grit paper, and things really started smoothing out. I think I can combine it with the dremel tool to be able to get everything looking perfect. I should have it all ready to make a mother mold...

I've run into what I think might be a bit of a problem. I'm applying bondo to the outside to smooth it, but the stuff is going on very rough. I understand that it won't be perfect, as that's what the final sanding is for, but it just seems to not be going right, to me. Does the above picture...

Speaking of continuity errors, has there ever been an explanation for how ODST has the schism take place before Regret's ship even leaves slipspace?

I used the same model for my helmet. RUNDOWN's, right? I like what you did with the forehead detail. I made the mistake of trying to make it work, but it botched hard, so I ended up just sanding it into oblivion for the bondo to take care of later.
