1st Helmet

I know it's not a Halo helmet, and I do plan on starting my armor this week, but I wanted some of your opinions on this helmet that I made when I was bored over the summer.

I made it from:
a baseball helmet
foam core board
matte board
hot glue

It only took me 2 days of almost non-stop designing and building to make and another day to paint.

It's Shining Gundam from the G Gundam series.

I actually had it in mind to make my own Gundam armour (the RX-79(G) from MS 08th Team; I just love the ruggedness of that design), but figured I should hold off on that suit until I finish the one I'm working on right now (Mk VI) lol

I was originally planning to make the full suit but I couldn't find a way to build all of that from scratch in the time I had to make it. I was also having trouble finding a way to make the armor strong enough to not get damaged if I bumped into a person or wall with the wide shoulders and head spikes in a crowded convention center because I was going to build the whole body out of the materials listed above.

thats a great idea to use a baseball helmet for a base. I would have never thought of using anything like that.

Pretty sweet though ^.^ can't wait to see what sort of other stuff you can produce.

yes your helmet Rocks reminds me of my first helmet, it was a gundam, sandrock and I did another one soon there after

but you now have a head start with the pep I think your skills will improve very quickly compared to when I was younger and didnt have the tools they have now
