2nd Company Ultramarine WIP

[Spartan Devastator]

Hey so I decided to start a second project since I have so much cardstock leftover and as the title suggests this is a Warhammer 40K Ultramarine suit, and I know its not Halo related I see alot of other threads on here not Halo related and I still hope to get constructive feedback on this WIP as well.

So here goes:

Beginnings of my Space Marine helmet:

looks cool so far, I'll be in the same boat, once i finish my MK VI suit I want to make something outside of halo either some mass effect armor or something 40k. Ill be posing my progress on what ever I do next here because I would like to share with the community that contributed 95% of the research on how to do armor builds, and has given me all the assistance and feedback.

Ill be checking back to see how it looks, I'm very interested in how the rest of the armor comes out.

ERRGH, the files for Warhammer PDOs are alot more difficult than the Halo files. I like the size of the helmet but torn on whether or not it may be too big. Printed out a chest file and started to work on it. Got most of it done and realized that the arm holes for this particular chest are too small and my arms can not relax I have to hold them up because the of the holes, I think even that if I made the chest bigger it would be problematic for me. I found a file for a VERY DETAILED chest with the Aquila already on it but it comes in two pieces so I am worried that the pep process would be more difficult I am used to technique where you build the chest and then spit it to get it on. I just want the edges to line up right.

Haha, I was just looking at this on Obscurus.
The helmet looks just fine and when you get the rest of the armour finished/pepped it'll look spot on.
I think I know the chest piece you're talking about (Samuray made it) and it should line up if you're careful when pepping, but if you're really worried about it and (still) want to pep it you can find the edge pieces in pep that 'join' together and just cut some tabs on them when cutting the mout and join them together like a normal chest piece. Good luck mate.

Thanks for the tip, I believe I will try that. That chest file, I believe, is going to be the only one that I have found that will work for me unless I do some MAJOR modifications on it after its finished. Like the one I have I would have to significantly cut under where the arm would be just to relax my arms a little bit. I hate having such broad shoulder/back, it looks ideal since I am built a bit like a marine, but its like the armor wasn't even made for them. LOL I will get it to work though I really want to get this suit finished.

in the 850 scale, can anyone tell me if they think it is too big??
