I didn't make the sword myself I bought it at Sam Goody's for around $6.00 and thought it needed to be fixed up a bit. Here is a picture of what it looked like before I did my work on it.
I then touched it up with some silver paint and added a leather looking fabric I purchased at Walmart for a $1.00. And it turned into this.
