People have asked me for a tutorial on modeling in Ms3d and I usually send them to youtube because there are a lot of tutorials posted there for various modeling software, but I found a great one here specifically for Milkshape and decided to share it with you.

This gun is modeled in the tutorial.

I must warn you, that at the beginning, he throws down a bunch of vertices. I don't recommend you start that way if you are not experienced at modeling in 3d. Instead create a 1x1 plane, move the verts to where they need to be, then extrude that plane (coplanar).
If you throw down a mess of verts, your mesh flow will be a mess and when you need to texture (if you are making a game mod or something) the model, the unwrapped mesh can be more difficult to texture.

There are some great blueprints for all sorts of objects at http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/

For tutorials on setting up blueprints in 3ds max, blender, etc. go to http://www.the-blueprints.com/tutorials/
